Well, well, well, I bet you’ve missed this series (it seems as if it was a long time ago, I know!), but I have another post for you, and this time I bring you… Gucci! One of the best brands ever (I speak for myself, I love it, but I know you girls love it too).
Moving on, Gucci was founded by Guccio Gucci in 1921, in Florence, Italy. When he first opened his store in Florence, he sold fine leather goods with classic styling. But later, with three of his sons, Aldo Gucci, Vasco Gucci and Rudolfo Gucci he expanded his brand and opened more stores in Florence, such as in Milan and Rome, where he started to sell leather handbags, shoes, his signature loafer, silks and knitwear with a signature pattern. In 1953, Aldo and Rudolfo expanded the brand by settling the offices in New York. Gucci made his products of pigskin and imported exotic animal skins that were subjected to various methods of fabrication. The Gucci company has prospered during the 70’s, but in the 80’s, after Rodolfo’s death in 1983, his son Maurizio took over the presidency of the company and fired his uncle Aldo. Gucci had gain a really bad reputation and, in 1989, when Dawn Mello bought the company, hired Tom Ford in 1990 to create a ready to wear line. In 2014, Marco Bizzarri became the CEO of the company and in January 2015, Alessandro Michele was chosen to be the creative director of the brand.
Now you must be saying: Thank God it’s over, she always write so much!. But, without further I’ll leave you with the pictures (I know you like this part, don’t you?).
