Vintage Vogue Covers

I am a big fan of Vogue magazine, so I started to think on how the covers were back then. Vogue was founded by  Arthur Turnure in 1892 and has already 123 years. Today the magazine is all about fashion and lifestyle, but, originally it was a weekly newspaper in the United States that targeted the New York City aristocracy, establishing social norms in a country that dindn’t value class and ceremony that much. At first the magazine covered fashion, sports and social affairs. Without further, I got really curious and couldn’t help myself to see the past covers, I started immediatly searching and found some really good covers to you too see. I also came across with a website, Art.com, where you can buy giclée prints of Vogue covers (every print costs $105.00 without frame). If you’re a big fan, there is a great opportunity for you! Eu sou uma grande fã da Vogue e, por isso, comecei a pensar em como seriam as capas no passado. A Vogue foi fundada por Arthur Turnure em 1892 e já conta com 123 anos. Hoje em dia a revista é só sobre moda e estilos de vida, mas, originalmente era uma revista semanal nos Estados Unidos e que tinha como alvo a alta sociedade de Nova York, estabelecendo desta forma normas sociais num país que não valorizava muito classes e cerimónias. No início cobria artigos de moda, desporto e as relações sociais. Sem avançar mais, esta curiosade  fez com que não me conseguisse conter a procurar imediatamente pelas capas antigas. Comecei à procura e encontrei muitas capas para vocês verem. Deparei-me também com um site Art.com em que se podem comprar  impressões em giclée das capas da Vogue (cada uma custa $105.00 sem moldura). Se são grandes fãs aqui está uma boa oportunidade para vocês! Vejam e espero que gostem tanto como eu!
